Gwenessa Lam was born in 1978 in Vancouver, where she lives and works. She holds a BFA from University of British Columbia and an MFA from New York University and was a finalist in the 2001 RBC Canadian Painting Competition. She is represented by Republic Gallery, Vancouver.
