Cynthia Girard was born in 1969 in Montreal, where she lives and works. She holds a BFA from Université du Québec à Montréal and an MFA from Goldsmiths College, London, and has published several collections of poems. She teaches at UQAM’s school of visual and media arts and is represented by Parisian Laundry, Montreal.
